Kesteven Green Trim Trail is now OPEN

17 February 2022

Hateley Cross Big Local have been working in partnership with Sandwell Council to purchase and install a Trim Trail on Kesteven Green, Kesteven Road, West Bromwich. Following consultation across the Hateley Heath Ward, the community identified a lack of facilities across the area for young people. Hateley Cross Partnership Group provided £50,000 of investment to improve one of the Green Spaces across the Big Local area.

The equipment hopes to encourage outdoor activity of the young people and Hateley Cross Partnership representatives said “We are delighted to be able to provide much needed equipment that will be of benefit to families and young people in the Hateley Cross area. We have listened to the residents and responded to their requests and hope this will provide exercise and enjoyment for local people for many years.”  The group also wanted to thank their local ward members and the Parks & Countryside team, who had supported them throughout their journey.

Councillor Millar said “Green spaces are so important to our health and quality of life. It’s really rewarding to see this project in situ after a complex planning stage. The residents involved in the Hateley Cross Big Local Partnership work hard and are committed to making life better for residents. Your Local Councillors share this ambition as well”
